Foundations

A Private Foundation delivers significant benefits in wealth management.

Its details may be kept completely confidential, including the identity of the Founder and who the beneficiaries are. There is no requirement to file annual returns or financial statements.

The Foundation’s assets may not be seized or used to meet the Founder’s obligations. The Founder, who may benefit from the assets during his or her lifetime, chooses whom to pass control to, and when to nominate beneficiaries. The Founder’s testamentary heirs may not revoke transfers to the Foundation.

Key Trust is very experienced in helping clients to set up foundations. Our own short-form Charter, approved in Panama, is an essential document that records the name of the Foundation and its Founder (which can be a nominee or company). The proven Panamanian entity is ideal for wealth ownership and succession planning structures.
