Key’s head office is in Jersey, where the Key Trust Company is licensed by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands and a world-leading, well-respected international finance centre. The Island, which has been at the forefront of international financial services for over 40 years, is responsible for its own domestic affairs, including taxation and financial regulation.
It is not part of the UK but owes allegiance to the British Crown. Similarly Jersey is not part of the European Union: its special relationship with the EU is defined by a Protocol attached to the UK’s Treaty of Accession.
